INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: Let dry completely between painting steps.

  1. Cut a piece of lace. For a newborn crown, cut approximately 14" of lace; for a larger child, around 22" of lace. (The size of the mini crown will depend on the project, but this one is cut to 2" long.)
    Step 0 Example
  2. Pour a small amount of Americana Fabric Stiffener into a bowl. Wet the lace pieces completely with Stiffener and squeeze out any excess.
    Step 1 Example
  3. Wrap the lace pieces around a round object to form the crown shape. Let dry.
  4. When the lace has dried, use a stiff brush to work Rose Gold into the lace. Dab a small amount on the brush and use a circular motion to work it into all the details of the lace. Paint both sides and let dry.
    Step 3 Example
  5. Use Rose Gold to paint embellishments of choice. (Wood or bisque works best for this.) Paint both sides and let dry.
  6. For additional durability, hot glue the ends of the crowns together.
