Americana® Decou-Page™

  • Gloss Decou-Page (DS101)

Americana® Multi-Surface Acrylics

  • Gold (Metallic) (DA553)
  • Gunmetal (Metallic) (DA570)
  • Lemon Zest (DA513)

Other supplies

  • water container
  • palette or plastic plate
  • paper towels
  • decorative paper
  • 1" painter's tape
  • craft knife or scissors
  • notebook
  • paintbrushes
  • scrap paper

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: Let dry completely between painting steps.

  1. Slide a piece of scrap paper behind the cover of the notebook. Cover the binding in painter's tape. Paint the entire notebook cover in Gunmetal (Metallic).

  2. Print the pattern provided and trace the shapes onto the decorative paper. Using the photo below as a template, cut out the pieces using a craft knife or scissors.

  3. Adhere the pieces of the rocket to the notebook using Gloss Decou-Page: Apply the Decou-Page to the notebook surface and to the back of the paper. Lay the piece down in the desired area and paint a layer of Decou-Page over it to seal it. Repeat this step with each piece.

  4. Paint stars in various spots using Lemon Zest. Let dry. Once dry, paint the stars in Gold (Metallic).
