Give a sophisticated flair to your home decor using Americana Multi-Surface Satins to create reclaimed wood art.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• pencil
• wood glue
• black fine-point permanent marker
• power saw
• white transfer paper
• wooden board
• screws
• drill gun
• wood stain
• 5/8" chisel tip brush

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

1. Cut six boards 30" long. Line up the boards face-down on your work surface.

2. Cut two boards 20" long. Apply wood glue onto the 20" boards and place on top of your longer boards going the opposite direction. Use 1-1/2" screws and a drill to screw the shorted board into the longer boards. Make sure you have at least one screw in each of the longer boards.

3. Stain the panel with a dark wood stain according to package instructions.

4. Using white transfer paper, transfer provided template onto surface.
5. Using a 5/8" chisel tip brush, paint the branches in the upper-right and lower-left hand corner in Americana Multi-Surface in Bittersweet. While the branches are still wet, dip the very tip of the brush into Black Tie and add some shadows to the leaves and branches.

6. Using White Birch, paint on branches in the upper-left and lower-right corner. While the branches are still wet, dip the very tip of the brush into Bittersweet and add some shadows to the leaves and branches.

7. Use Metallic Gold to paint the large branch in the lower-left corner of the panel. Next, paint in branch in the upper right hand corner in same color. While the branches are still wet, dip the tip of the brush in Cotton Ball to add some highlights to the leaves and branches.

8. Using a fine point permanent marker, outline the gold branches and leaves.
