    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. If needed, remove the hardware and wheels from the skateboard. Sand the entire surface of the skateboard before painting.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Paint the entire skateboard in Coastal Waters. Transfer the pattern of the lion onto the center of the skateboard. Add strands of hair in various colors. (Keep the Blue Bird, Jungle Green, and Purple Sunset strands closest to the face. Let the Poppy, Lemon Zest, Hydrangea, and Pink Tropics strands branch out away from the face.) Refer to photo for placement but feel free to improvise.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Following the pattern provided, paint in the details of the lion's face in Blue Bird.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Add some highlights over the ears, in the chin and cheeks, and on the nose and the eyes in Coastal Waters.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Using the pattern provided, transfer the flowers onto both ends of the skateboard. (Don't worry about the fine lines in the center yet, just transfer the outer edges.)
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Fill in the details of the flowers using a fine liner pen.
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Use the pattern provided to add three feathers to the lion's mane. (Switch the feathers up a little bit from the pattern by changing the placement of the geometric or circular details within the pattern itself.)
    14. Instruction #7
    15. Add some line work to the lion's face and ears and around the eyes with the fine liner pen.
    16. Instruction #8
    17. Drip Poppy, Pink Tropics, Blue Bird, Lemon Zest, Purple Sunset, and Jungle Green separately down the surface of the skateboard by adding a lot of water to the paint and pressing the brush down in one spot to let the paint collect and then drip. (Try not to drip over the lion's face; tilt the skateboard to move the drips out of the way.)
    18. Instruction #9
