Turn popsicle sticks into the creative vehicle for abstract art using Deco Media® Fluid Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

• popsicle sticks
• canvas

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

1. Using a popsicle stick, spread the Gesso onto the canvas, creating tons of texture. Allow it to dry completely.

2. Mix Gesso into each of the colors. One at a time, begin applying them to the canvas as desired with a popsicle stick. Allow the paint to dry between coats.

3. Use the popsicle stick to add dashes of three or four colors to the canvas. Once they are all added, use the popsicle stick to spread them, creating a marbling effect.

4. Use the edge of the popsicle stick to add black lines to the bottom portion of the canvas. Let dry. Once dry, add white lines in the opposite direction.

5. Use the stick to add a flower in Chartreuse. While the paint is still wet, mix in Coastal Waters and Blue Green Light for added depth. Use the popsicle stick to add the stem and leaf in a light green mix.

6. Add black to the edge and smear with a popsicle stick. Let dry.
