Dotted Chalkboard Frame with Flower

Button up a season-spanning accent with this flower-embellished chalkboard frame.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- scissors
- pencil
- burlap ribbon
- fine-grit sandpaper
- chalk
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- #12 flat brush
- scrapbook paper
- 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" frame
- large wooden button
- wooden flower cutout
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Allow to dry between painting steps.
- Lay the frame down flat on the back of scrapbook paper. With a pencil, trace the outer edge of frame and the inside opening.
- Use scissors to cut the scrapbook paper out to fit the frame.
- Use a #12 flat brush to paint all edges of the frame and the flower cut-out Baby Pink. Rinse brush.
- Apply Americana Matte Decou-Page with the #12 flat brush. Place the scrapbook paper face up on the frame; start from center and rub outward, making sure there are no air bubbles. (Follow label instructions.) Let dry completely. Rinse brush.
- Apply a thin coat of Clear Chalkboard Coating over the entire front of frame, following label instructions. Let dry completely.
- Use scissors to cut the burlap ribbon about 5” long.
- Use a glue gun to attach the button to the flower center and then glue the flower to ribbon and the ribbon to the frame.
- After 24 hours, condition the frame with chalk and write anything on frame.
