Lightly sand all of the wooden surfaces (picket fence crate and eggs) and wipe with a tack cloth. Use the #4 flat brush to apply Americana Primer & Sealer to the plant pick. Use the 1” flat or sponge brush to coat the other surfaces with Primer & Sealer.
Using the 1” flat or sponge brush, paint the inside and outside of the crate Snow White. Recoat as necessary.
Using a 1” brush, paint one egg Indian Turquoise; one egg, Hauser Light Green; and one egg, Lavender. Recoat as necessary.
Use Buttermilk and the #2 round brush to free-hand a bunny silhouette on the Hauser Light Green egg and a butterfly silhouette on the Lavender egg. (Use multiple coats if desired.) Paint dots on the Indian Turquoise egg using a pencil eraser dipped into Buttermilk and Carousel Pink, wiping the eraser between colors.
Paint the back, sides, and stick of the plant pick Carousel Pink and the front, Hauser Light Green. Let dry. When completely dry, use the #2 round brush to paint “Eggs 10¢” in Buttermilk. (Use a pencil to plan letter placement if desired.)
Use the pencil eraser to paint Indian Turquoise and Lavender dots on the plant pick front. (Refer to photo.) Use the handle end of a paintbrush to add a small Carousel Pink dot in the center of each.
Apply DuraClear Gloss Varnish to all pieces, using the 1” brush for boxes and eggs and the #4 flat brush for the plant pick. Let dry. After the sealer is dry, add filler, eggs, and the sign to the basket, trimming the sign stick to the desired length.
