Other supplies

  • water container
  • palette or plastic plate
  • paper towels
  • sandpaper
  • hot glue gun
  • jute or hemp cord (2 feet)
  • cup hooks (3)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Paint the oar in Peacock Blue. Allow to dry and re-apply.
  2. Use the provided pattern to paint anchors in White and accent in Sun Yellow and Black. (See photo for details and placement.) Paint the personalized name in White and add a drop shadow in Sun Yellow. Paint rope on the handle using small rectangles, moving in diagonals as if they were wrapped around the handle. (See photo.)
  3. Sand the edges and random spots on the surface of the sign. Wipe sawdust off the surface. Hot glue about 2' of jute or hemp board behind the oar. Let dry. Twist the cup hooks, centered, under the bottom edge of the sign. Hang close to a door to hang keys.
