Paint a canning jar and add Holiday Color and Glitz with Crystal Gloss Enamels Glitter

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • rubbing alcohol
    • scissors
    • quart size Mason jar
    • #0 liner brush
    • paper
    • painter's or masking tape (optional)
    • ribbon or other embellishments (optional)
    • cosmetic sponge

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Allow to dry between painting steps.

    1. Clean glass with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry well before painting. Or clean glass surface with alcohol and dry well.
    2. Trace patterns on small pieces of paper. Cut out shapes with scissors or craft knife. Use as stencils.
    3. Position open circle “stencil” on surface. Tape in place or hold with fingers. Use cosmetic sponge wedge to tap White into open area.
    4. Repeat step 2 randomly over entire jar. Let dry.
    5. Position section “stencil” over circle. Use cosmetic sponge wedge to tap either Red or Green over each circle. Repeat application for more opaque coverage.
    6. Use liner brush and White to paint wrapper ends on each side of candies.
    7. For added durability or dishwasher safe glassware, allow painted project to dry/cure for 4 days. Bake at 275 degrees for 30 minutes in oven.
    8. Embellish as desired. Fill jar with candies or other goodies and use for gift giving.
