Go global with a message of harmony on a repurposed globe with Americana Decou-Page™.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• scissors
• 3/4" flat brush
• #8 round brush
• #8 flat brush
• permanent marker
• public domain image
• globe

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint the entire globe in Primary Magenta. (Use just one thin coat in order to keep the globe's details.)

2. Use a black permanent marker to trace the heart pattern onto Americana Decou-Page Vintage Silhouette Paper and cut out with scissors.

3. Use scissors to cut out flowers from Americana Decou-Page Paisley Punch Paper and cut off the petals. (Cut enough petals from the flowers to go all the way around the heart.) Use Matte Medium to adhere the petals to the heart with a #8 round brush.

4. Use a #8 round brush to add accents around the heart. Start with Gold (Metallic) around the perimeter; add stripes in Cobalt Turquoise Hue; and outline the outer and inner design with Carbon Black.

5. Use a 3/4" flat brush and Matte Medium to adhere the heart to the globe.

6. Use scissors to cut out three paisley patterns from the Decou-Page Paisley Punch Papers and adhere to the top of the heart. (Refer to photo.) Use a #8 round brush to outline the heart and paisley design in Carbon Black.

7. Find two computer images from the Internet and print out. (We chose birds.)

8. Use scissors to cut out the words "AMOR Y PAZ" from the Americana Decou-Page Metallic Type Paper. Use a #8 round brush to adhere the letters with Matte Medium. Use a #8 round brush to outline the letters in Carbon Black. Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint the base in Carbon Black. Use a #8 flat brush to paint the stripes on the base in Gold (Metallic).
