Create a très chic shop sign for your home with Americana® Decor™ paints and stencils.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• sandpaper
• ruler
• flat brush
• stencil brush
• hanging wire
• keyhole style hangers
• saw
• 3/4" plywood

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Use saw to cut plywood to 23-3/4" x 22".
2. Wipe off dust with damp paper towel. Let dry. Apply Americana® Decor™ Stain Blocker to board. Let dry.
3. Paint front of sign Escape. Let dry. Apply second coat, if desired.
4. Apply stencils randomly and fill in stencil openings with Eggplant, Black Tie, Lavender Fields, and Night Sky. Allow each stencil color and each stencil area to dry before moving onto another area.
5. Let all dry completely. Lightly distress entire sign with sandpaper. Remove any dust with damp paper towel.
6. Apply three coats of Light Satin Varnish, allowing each coat to dry between applications. Let dry thoroughly.
7. Adhere hangers to back of plaque. Attach wire to hangers.
