Paper Plate Happiness Teddy Bears

Make someone smile with these colorful paper plate teddy bears, made with Americana® Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

    • stylus or pencil
    • scissors
    • black fine point marker
    • tracing & transfer paper
    • small and medium brushes
    • baker's twine
    • paper plates
    • tape or craft glue

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Bear #1 (at right): Use a medium brush to paint three plates in Baby Blue and Lilac Meadow. (For one, do not paint the center). Continue with two more set of three plates: Bear #2: Primary Yellow and Coral Blush; Bear #3: Pistachio Mint and Primary Yellow. Let dry.

    3. Use a medium brush to paint one of the center parts of the plates in Baby Pink. (See photo.) Use the provided pattern to cut the arms, legs, and ears out of one plate. (Place the ears aside for the next step.)

    5. Use the provided pattern to transfer the face to the third paper plate. Use a small brush to paint the muzzle in Snow White and the cheeks and centers of the ears in Baby Pink. Let dry. Use a black fine-point marker to draw the eyes, nose, and mouth.

    7. Use tape or craft glue to adhere the teddy bears together.

    9. Use tape or craft glue to adhere the baker's twine to the back side of the bears' heads. Let dry and hang in a window.
