Painterly Flowers on Stained Wooden Block

A wooden block, stained with Americana® Gel Stains, is home to sophisticated painted flowers.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • clean cloth
    • wooden block
    • paintbrushes

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Paint the Oak Gel Stain on the wooden block, working one section at a time.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Wipe the Gel Stain off with a clean cloth. Continue to do the same for the rest of the wooden block until it is covered with Gel Stain. Allow to dry.

    5. Paint flowers in a painterly fashion using Watermelon Slice and Bright Orange. Highlight with White Wash and Yellow Light.

    7. Paint leaves and stems and add small dots to the center of flowers with Sour Apple and Hauser Dark Green. Add dots in the middle of flowers with Sour Apple. Use Watermelon Slice to create berries on the stems and highlight the berries with Yellow Light.
