Geometric Painted Utensil Holder

Color a fall buffet table with a holder for utensils in autumnal shades of Americana® Multi-Surface Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • scissors
    • ruler
    • pencil
    • painter's tape
    • 1" flat brush
    • hole punch
    • computer and printer
    • glass cleaner
    • foam brush
    • paper tag
    • ribbon to match
    • cutlery holder
    • plastic cup

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. With glass cleaner, thoroughly clean the surface of the cutlery holder. Remove the metal stand from the base.

    3. Using a foam brush, paint each metal cup holder and large cup with two coats of Black Tie, Deep Turquoise, Eggplant, and Pumpkin Patch.

    5. Punch a hole in each cup near the top.

    7. Paint a paper tag in a coordinating color for each cup. Print out the text in a desired font labeled "forks", "spoons", "straws", and "knives". Cut each out. Add decorative ribbon or tape to the bottom of the tag. Use Americana Matte Decou-Page to adhere the text to the tag.

    9. Use a pencil and ruler to draw an "x" form between corners of the base. Apply painter's tape to the area that will be painted. Paint each triangle in Black Tie, Deep Turquoise, Eggplant, and Pumpkin Patch.

    11. If needed, paint the metal stand in Black Tie. Paint the holder's handle in Pumpkin Patch.
