Painted Fruit Canning Jars

Canned fruit never looked so sweet! Give your canned fruits their own unique look with Americana Gloss Enamels.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- tracing paper
- transfer paper
- rubbing alcohol
- pencil
- #3 round brush
- #6 flat brush
- brush soap
- #0 round brush
INSTRUCTIONS
- Apple Jar: Clean jar with rubbing alcohol and dry well before painting.
- Print off pattern and use pencil to trace and transfer pattern in center of jar.
- Apply Tuscan Red to first apple with #6 flat brush. Let dry.
- Apply Bright Orange to second apple with #6 flat brush. Let dry.
- Apply Festive Green on leaves with #3 round brush. Let dry.
- Start again applying second coat for previous colors, letting each dry before proceeding.
- Apply third coat of previous colors to achieve best opacity. Rinse brushes.
- Define details with #0 round brush and Black: outlines and details of leaves. Let dry.
- Use #0 round brush to correct any imperfections.
- Apply White with same brush in highlights of apples. Let dry.
- Coat for protection with Multi-Purpose Sealer.
- Cherry Jar Clean jar with rubbing alcohol and dry well before painting.
- Print off pattern and use pencil to trace and transfer the pattern in the center of the Jar.
- Apply Tuscan Red to cherries with #3 round brush, leaving small space between them to give 3-dimensional effect. Let dry.
- Apply Festive Green on leaves with #0 round brush. Let dry.
- Start again applying second coat for previous colors, letting each dry before proceeding.
- Apply third coat of previous colors to achieve best opacity. Rinse brushes
- Define details with #0 round brush and Black. Let dry.
- Apply White with same brush in highlights of cherries. Let dry.
- Coat for protection with Multi-Purpose Sealer.
