Winter Paint Pour Serving Tray

Serve up winter snacks on a tray made with the pouring method and Extreme Sheen™.

SUPPLIES

    • paper towels
    • painter's tape
    • #3 round brush
    • plastic cup or container
    • newspaper
    • screwdriver
    • decorative handles
    • rustic birch plank

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Work on top of newspaper or a drop cloth when paint pouring, Allow the paint to fully dry before continuing to the next step.

    1. Place a strip of 1" blue painter's tape along both bark edges of the birch panel.

    3. Mix (2) parts Gloss Decou-Page, (1) part Extreme Sheen, and (1) part water in a plastic cup. Repeat for each color of Extreme Sheen you are using.

    5. Pour each color of the Extreme Sheen mixes onto the birch panel. (Be sure to work on a covered surface as the next step can get messy.)

    7. Tilt the panel back and forth and side to side to let the Extreme Sheen mixes flow and mix until the entire top surface of the birch panel is covered.

    9. Let dry partially and remove the painter's tape while the Extreme Sheen mixes are still soft. Then let dry completely.

    11. Use a #3 round brush to letter on a winter saying with Lamp Black.

    13. Use a #3 round brush to add highlights to the lettering and paint on snowflakes in Warm White.

    15. Attach decorative handles to each end of the tray.
