INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
This project can be made to any size. There are also many printable maps that can be purchased or printed from the Internet.
- Remove the backing and glass from the frame.
- Measure the opening of the back of the frame. Transfer the measurements to the sheet of metal.
- Cut out the shape with a tool that cuts through metal, such as metal snips. (Be careful not to cut yourself on the metal edge.)
- Apply Americana Gloss Decou-Page to the metal sheet with a flat brush and lay the map on the metal. Flatten to eliminate any air bubbles. (If using a map from a sheet of scrapbook paper, cut the map out and apply Decou-Page onto the bottom sheet of scrapbook paper.)
- Paint the frame in Banana Cream with a flat brush. (Depending on the original color of the frame, a few coats may be needed.)
- Paint the magnets Bluegrass Green (or another desired color) so that they stand out against the map. (The smaller the magnets, the better. Packs of them can be purchased from a local craft store.)
- Use the provided Silhouette file and vinyl to add a sticker phrase to the frame, or create your own phrase. Assemble the frame and map and hang on a wall or display on a plate stand.
