DecoArt® Suede

  • Mauve (DSU10)
  • Midnight Blue (DSU09)
  • Olive (DSU07)
  • Plum (DSU11)

Other supplies

  • water container
  • paper towels
  • chalk
  • fan brush
  • unfinished wooden tray
  • wooden knob (1": 4)
  • E6000 Glue
  • wooden disc (thin: 4)
  • double-sided, repositionable tape (optional)
  • acrylic boxes (4: to fit inside tray)


  1. Use the chalk to draw a swirl shape on the tray sides as desired.

  2. Use a fan brush to fill in areas on the tray with Olive, Midnight Blue, and Plum.

  3. Use a fan brush to paint one disc and one knob with Olive. Repeat with the remaining disc and knob pairs using Midnight Blue, Mauve, and Plum.

  4. When dry, position the discs on the box lids and adhere with E6000 Glue. Position and adhere the knobs on the discs, alternating colors.

When painting small items, place a piece of double-stick tape on the crafting surface. The tape will hold the items in place while you paint them. Not only does it make it easier to paint them, but it also helps avoid painted fingers.
