Orange and Black Harlequin Frame

Build a frame that will show off your favorite Halloween picture with added sparkle.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • ruler
    • pencil
    • hot glue gun
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • #10 flat brush
    • laser-cut frame
    • square wooden frame

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Remove all packaging and labels from the laser-cut and square frames.

    3. Use a 3/4" flat brush to basecoat the entire square frame using Orange Twist. Rinse brush.

    5. Use the pencil and ruler to measure and draw harlequin pattern onto the front of the frame.

    7. Use a #10 flat brush and Burnt Orange to fill in diamonds. (Refer to photo for color placement.) Rinse brush.

    9. Use a #10 flat brush and Lamp Black to paint the laser-cut frame. Rinse brush.

    11. Hold the laser-cut over the square frame to see the amount of space showing. Use a pencil to trace the exposed area.

    13. Use a #10 flat brush to mix (2) parts Snow White with (1) part Lamp Black. Use mix to paint space in between frames. Rinse brush.
    14. Use a #10 flat brush to apply Black Craft Twinkles on top of the laser-cut frame. Rinse brush.

    16. Use a glue gun to attach the laser-cut frame on top of the square frame.
