New Year's Eve Party Plate

Ring in the New Year with this unique plate, sure to be the highlight of your party.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • rubbing alcohol
    • 1" painter's tape
    • cosmetic sponge
    • #10/0 liner brush
    • clear glass plate

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Start with a clear glass plate and clean it thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and paper towels. Let dry completely.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Tape the pattern to the underside of the plate. Use a #10/0 liner brush and Glorious Gold to paint on the Roman numerals. Rinse brush.

    5. Use a #10/0 liner brush and White to paint the rim or rims in the center of the plate. (See photo for placement.) Rinse brush.

    7. Use a #10/0 liner brush and Glorious Gold to add rectangles under each numeral. Rinse brush.

    9. Use a #10/0 liner brush and White to paint four lines in between each Glorious Gold rectangle. Rinse brush.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Use a #10/0 liner brush and Black to paint the clock hands on pointing to 5 minutes 'til midnight. Rinse brush.

    13. Dip a cosmetic sponge in Black and lightly dab over everything except the very center.

    15. Once the plate cures, carefully follow the label instructions for baking times to make plate dishwasher safe.
