Stretch the black velvet, wrapping it around each frame as you would a present. (Make sure the edges are crisp and clean.) Pull it taut and use a staple gun to secure it in place.
Once the black velvet is on the frame, transfer the provided template onto the velvet by using chalk to trace around the shape or placing the template on the velvet and painting around it.
Black velvet absorbs the paint, so it might take a few coats: apply Americana Acrylic in corresponding color for the base layer, and then continue on with a Multi-Surface Acrylic in Neon. (Apply a few coats to get the rich, deep color desired.)
Continue with each pattern until you complete a set of 3 beach-themed pieces.
HELPFUL HINTS
When you are stapling the black velvet onto the canvas, place the velvet on a towel or blanket. If not, you will mark up the fabric around the frame.
Apply several coats to create a bold effect. Let dry completely between coats.
