Other supplies

  • paper towels
  • small and medium brushes
  • clear glass plate
  • rubbing alcohol (or window cleaner)


  1. Wipe the glass plate clean with rubbing alcohol or window cleaner. Let dry. Use the provided patterns to transfer and outline the four sections of "my plate" to the back of the plate with the Gold (Metallic) Glass Paint Marker. Let dry.

  2. Transfer the "food" to the back of the plate, trace with Black Glass Paint Marker.

  3. Use a small paintbrush to add rosy cheeks to all foods in Pink. Let dry. Refer to photo to paint all of the food in corresponding colors from the above list. Let dry.
    Step 2 Example
  4. Use a medium brush to paint each food group section in Coral (grains); Pink (fruit); Mint (vegetables); and Light Blue (protein). Let dry. Follow the paint bottle label instruction for curing by baking. (This will make the plate dishwasher-safe.)
