Show your St. Patrick's Day Pride by personalizing a painted T-shirt easily using SoSoft® Fabric Paint.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• transfer paper
• wax paper
• cardboard
• 1" painter's tape
• #12 flat brush
• cotton t-shirt
• cosmetic sponges
• pen or pencil
• 1" round brush

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

Pre-wash the cotton t-shirt without softeners.

1. Cut a piece of cardboard to size to fit inside the t-shirt. Use wax or freezer paper to cover most or all of the cardboard. Use the 1" painter's tape to hold in place.

2. Stretch the shirt over the cardboard.

3. Use a pen or pencil with grey transfer paper to transfer the shamrock shape. (You can enlarge the shamrock to fit on the shirt.)

4. Use the #1 round brush with True Green to outline the shamrock. Rinse brush. Use True Green with the #12 flat brush to continue around the outer edge, picking up some Bright Avocado as you go in. Pick up some Yellow Green to finish out the center. Use the #1 round brush with the same colors for the stem. Rinse brush. Let dry completely.

5. Use a cosmetic sponge with Cadmium Yellow and the Americana Doily Stencil to only pounce where the shamrock is. Wash stencil. Let dry completely.

6. When ready to monogram, use a DecoArt Personally Yours Initial Impressions 4" Quirky letter for the middle letter. Load a new cosmetic sponge with Ultra White to pounce on the middle letter. Wash and dry stencil.

7. Use the Initial Impressions 3" Quirky letters for the first and last letters. (Line up the letters with the registration guide marks.) Pounce those letters on with the same cosmetic sponge and Ultra White. Wash stencils.

8. Remove the shirt from the cardboard. Follow the SoSoft Fabric Paint label instructions for washing and drying information.
