Turn a plain dresser into a modern statement piece with Americana Decor® Chalky Finish™.

SUPPLIES

• sandpaper
• dresser
• stencil brush
• electric drill
• stencil tape
• medium flat brush
• decorative drawer pulls or knobs

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Remove the hardware from the drawer. Fill the holes and any damage on the dresser with Clear Modeling Paste; let dry; and sand down.

2. Remove the drawers from the dresser. Paint the frame of the dresser with Colonial. Let the first application dry completely, then add a second layer of paint.

3. Paint the dresser drawers with alternating colors: I painted two with Everlasting and one with Colonial. When the paint on the drawers has dried, place the drawers back into the dresser frame.

4. Use stencil tape to position the Americana Decor Wildflowers stencil on the dresser. With a stencil brush, add Bestow over the stencil. Remove and clean the stencil when done, and let the paint on the dresser dry completely.

5. Use Clear Crème Wax to finish and protect the painted surface. 

6. Drill holes into the drawers to add new drawer pulls onto the dresser.
