Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Cut out a desired heart size from aluminum foil. Turn over the canvas and place the heart in the area where you would like it. ( Shown: lower right) With a craft knife and metal ruler, make four slits in the back of the canvas. (Make two slits toward the top of the heart and two slits toward the bottom of the heart.)
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Apply Matte Medium to the back of the heart.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Put the heart through the slits to hold in place. Use a small piece of scrap cardstock or cardboard on top of the Matte Medium to help secure the heart into place.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Cut out wavy strips from the aluminum foil. Using Matte Medium, adhere the strips to the canvas. (Don't worry if some of the medium gets on top of the foil.)
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Add drops of Cobalt Teal Hue and Medium Grey and Patina Green Antiquing Mediums to the canvas. Spread out using a brayer or old credit card.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Apply White Crackle Paint on top and spread with a palette knife or plastic card. Allow to dry completely.
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Tear pieces of printed tissue paper. Apply a coat of Matte Decou-Page to the area where the tissue paper will be placed. Position the paper and apply another layer of Decou-Page on top. Let dry. Once dry, spray a White (Shimmer) Mister randomly.
    14. Instruction #7
    15. Add a layer of DuraClear Satin Varnish to the surface. Let dry.
    16. Instruction #8
    17. Once dry, apply Gold Rush to the heart and Brilliant Turquoise randomly on the foil strips. Let dry. Once dry, buff to a shine with a clean cloth.
