INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Apply a layer of White Gesso onto the canvas with a 1" flat brush or palette knife. Before the Gesso dries, make imprints as desired with tools (spatula, end of a paintbrush, etc.). Allow to dry completely.
- Randomly spread Limelight and Turquoise Sparkle on the canvas. (These should be thick layers.) Set aside to dry completely: it is milky-looking before it dries and will dry clear.
- Once dry, use Black Gesso to cover the White Gesso areas of the canvas. Let dry. Once dry, use a cosmetic sponge to wipe random areas with Blue (Interference) and Violet (Interference). (They will look very light at first, but will become vibrant as they dry.)
- Dip a thick paintbrush separately into Blue Interference and Violet Interference. Flick each color onto the canvas by pulling back the bristles and letting them go on top of the canvas.
- Use a cosmetic sponge to rub on Brilliant Turquoise in random places. (Moving in tiny circles works well to buff this.)
- Add some drops of Blue Interference and Violet Interference onto the canvas. Stand the canvas up and spray it with a spray bottle of water. (The colors will dry a little more opaque this way.)
- Once you like the design, lay the canvas on its back to dry.
- Add more Black Gesso to the canvas in random places using bubble wrap and a palette knife. When the Gesso is still wet, add a few beads into it.
- Apply the Clear Crackle Glaze with a spatula or brush in random areas. (Do not over-work this; apply the product and leave it alone.)
- Using E6000 Glue, apply pre-cut mirror shapes onto the canvas.
