- #2 round brush
- 3/4" flat brush
- #12 flat brush
- jute twine
- masking tape
- yarn
- wooden mitten shape
- decorative paper straws
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Wrap a small piece of cellophane or masking tape around the jute end to make threading it through the drinking straws easier.
- Use a 3/4" flat brush and Snow White to paint the entire mitten shape.
- Use a #12 flat brush and Sand Grey to paint around the snowflake and mitten cuff.
- Use a #2 round brush and Crystal Craft Twinkles to paint inside the snowflake and on the mitten cuff.
- Measure and cut the jute into the length needed for the garland. Use scissors to cut straws into thirds. Thread four straw sections onto the jute and then a mitten. Repeat with the number of mittens desired.
- Make yarn pom-poms: Roll yarn into two large balls. Match strands of each ball together. Wrap around your hand approximately 100 times.
- Carefully remove from your hand from inside the yarn and use another piece of yarn to tie the ball tightly in the center.
- Use scissors to cut the yarn loops.
- Use scissors to trim into a ball. Make several pom-poms.
- Center a pom-pom between each mitten and tie onto the jute.
- Hang the garland. The mittens and pom-poms should slide easily, if you need to adjust their positions.
