Keep it simple, with clean lines and sharp contrasts, on a metal coffee table painted with DecoArt® Matte Metallics™.

SUPPLIES

• sandpaper
• pencil
• 1" painter's tape
• paper
• coffee table
• 1" soft white mop brush

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let each coat of paint dry completely before applying the next coat. Use a soft brush for best coverage. Make sure the paint is completely dry before applying the painter's tape. Remove the painter's tape when the surface is still wet.

Sand the table before painting.

1. Tape off the desired area with blue painter's tape. (The table already had a border to it, so I just followed the lines already there. Basically it was 1" around the edge of the tabletop.) Paint the legs and outer edge of the table with Pewter. (Use two coats for good coverage.) Remove the tape after the second coat and let dry completely.

2. Create your own angle for the corner of the tabletop. (The one pictured was created using a square piece of paper folded into a triangle.) Mark the line with a pencil and use painter's tape to mask off.

3. Fill in the area with Pewter. Remove the painter's tape and let dry completely.

4. When the paint is completely dry, tape off the metallic area and paint the center portion with Artifact. Apply the desired number of coats for full coverage and remove the painter's tape carefully.

5. Let dry completely before use.
