Mid-Century Modern Chalky Dresser

A home-made stencil, along with Americana Decor® Chalky Finish™ paint and wax, breathe life into this dresser.
SUPPLIES
- sandpaper
- dresser
- #12 stencil brush
- 1" painter's tape
- cardstock
- hand-sander
- dry cloth
- paintbrushes
INSTRUCTIONS
- Remove the drawers. Sand the surface of the dresser with sandpaper. (Or use a hand-sander.) Wipe the surface with the dry cloth.
- Paint the bottom two drawers in Vintage. Paint the second drawer to the top in Lace. Allow to dry and sand lightly. Apply a second coat.
- Using the pattern provided, cut a triangle into cardstock (or index cards).
- Paint the triangles in a random pattern moving from the bottom left to the upper right of the dresser drawers in Champagne Gold. (Hint: Odd numbers are more visually appealing.)
- Tape off the legs about 2.5" to 3" from the bottom and paint in Champagne Gold.
- Apply a coat of Clear Crème Wax to the entire dresser. Buff for a matte sheen.
