Use stenciling with Dazzling Metallics to create fall art for your home.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• scissors
• ruler
• pencil
• 1" flat brush
• craft glue
• 1" painter's tape
• cosmetic sponge
• 3 same-sized canvases
• cardstock
• artificial leaves
• 4" flat brush

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

1. Using a 1" flat brush, coat the front and sides of each of the three canvases with White Gesso.

2. Using Emperor's Gold, coat the first canvas using a 1" flat brush. Cover the next canvas in Carbon Black. Cover the last canvas in Worn Penny.

3. Tape each canvas with 1" painter's tape on the top and bottom to create a border.

4. Tape down each stencil on each end with painter's tape: Use the Americana Decor Honeywire Stencil on the Emperor's Gold canvas; the Americana Decor Classic Quatrefoil Stencil on the Worn Penny canvas; and the Americana Decor Greek Key Stencil on the Carbon Black canvas.
5. With a cosmetic sponge, apply Carbon Black to the Emperor's Gold and Worn Penny canvases. Apply Teal to the Carbon Black canvas.

6. Paint artificial leaves separately in Emperor's Gold, Teal, and Worn Penny with a 4" flat brush.

7. Paint an 8" x 10" piece of white cardstock with Carbon Black. Let dry. Once dry, stencil the words "Blessed" in Emperor's Gold, "Thankful" in Teal, and "Grateful" in Worn Penny using the Andy Skinner Have Your Say Stencil. (If needed, tape down the stencil to keep it in place.)

8. With scissors, cut out the stenciled words using a ruler and pencil for straight lines. Using craft glue, adhere the leaves to the center of the canvas.

9. Adhere the stenciled word to the center of each leaf. For added protection, spray each canvas with Americana Matte Spray Finish according to package instructions.
