    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Use a pencil or stylus to transfer pattern onto the glass bottle using grey transfer paper.
    2. Using a #2 flat shader brush, basecoat separately: the sky, Sky Blue; the sea, Turquoise Waters; the sand, Mushroom; the shells, White Birch; and loosely brushed-in waves in Cotton Ball. Rinse the brush between colors and at the end.
    3. Using a 10/0 angle shader brush, shade under the waves and along the ocean horizon with Cobalt; and over the sand and around the shells with Brown Sugar and again with Cocoa Bean. Rinse the brush between colors and at end.
    4. Using a #10/0 liner brush, mix (2) parts Coffee Bean with (1) part Cobalt. Use the mix to paint a line over the sand, weeds, and birds. Rinse brush.
    5. Use a #10/0 liner brush to highlight the weeds with Chick. Rinse brush.
    6. Use a #10/0 liner brush to highlight the sand randomly with White Birch. Rinse brush.
    7. Repeat the pattern around the rest of the bottle, omitting shells, weeds, and birds. Paint the sand, sky, and sea in the same manner as above instructions state.
    8. Using a #10/0 liner brush with Black Tie, paint the words "Read me" on the vial. Rinse brush.
    9. Use scissors to cut string or jute to hold the vial around the neck of the large bottle and to cut the computer paper to fit inside the vial.
    10. Roll up the piece of paper and stick it in the vial.
    11. Tie string to attach the vial to the neck of the large bottle.
    12. Use a glue gun to attach a shell to the cork lid of the large bottle.
