Invite your friends to a February 9 Mardi Gras party with this card with metallic overtones.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• scissors
• craft glue
• #6 round brush
• The Spellbinders® Grand Calibur® Machine
• stencil brush
• black cardstock
• brayer
• feathers
• cardstock
• white pencil
• faux gemstones

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Using a stencil brush, dip into Gold Rush and brush around the perimeter of the white cardstock (size of your choice).

2. Add drops to another piece of white cardstock (slightly smaller than the card in step 1) in Dioxazine Purple, Primary Magenta, Titanium White, and Cobalt Blue Hue.

3. Use a brayer and roll over the paint in one direction.

4. Use craft glue to adhere the painted cardstock over the Gold Rush-bordered cardstock.

5. Write out the invitation on a computer and print it out (slightly smaller than the painted cardstock; refer to photo).

6. Adhere the printed invitation on top of the painted, bordered cardstock using craft glue.

7. Use a Spellbinder machine to emboss a design of your choice onto black cardstock.

8. Trace the mask pattern onto the black cardstock with a white pencil and cut out using scissors.

9. Cut out the eye shapes; use a stencil brush to add Gold Rush. Use craft glue to adhere the eyes. Use a #6 round brush and paint the perimeter of mask and eye in Carbon Black. Use craft glue to adhere feathers to the back side of the mask. (Refer to photo for placement.)

10. Use a #6 round brush to add dot accents in Titanium White around the perimeter of the mask and eyes.

11. Optional: Embellish the mask with faux gemstones; adhere with craft glue.
