  • small round brush
  • clipboard (clear)

NOTE: Let dry completely between painting steps.

  1. Fill a baking sheet with foam shaving cream. (Be sure the baking sheet is larger enough for the clipboard.) Smooth out the cream with a palette knife.
    Step 0 Example
  2. Drizzle desired paint colors over the shaving cream. With a small object (such as a small paintbrush), swirl the paint colors. (Do not over-work the colors or they can become muddy.)
    Step 1 Example
  3. Place the sheet of watercolor paper onto the shaving cream and firmly press down, making certain all of the paper has been pressed into the cream. Carefully lift up the paper. Use a ruler (or similar shaped object) to remove all of the shaving cream in one pass. Let dry. Once dry, trace the clipboard shape onto the desired area of the watercolor paper.
    Step 2 Example
  4. Cut out the watercolor paper with scissors. Adhere the paper with the marbled side facing through the clear clipboard using Outdoor Decou-Page. Apply another layer of Decou-Page onto the back of the paper.
