Metallic Maple Leaf Tray

Give a Plain Wood Tray the Royal Treatment with Dazzling Metallics.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- transfer paper
- painter's tape
- #2 round brush
- 3/4" flat brush
- fine point Sharpie® marker or pen
- wooden tray
INSTRUCTIONS
- Basecoat tray bottom Lamp Black with 3/4 flat brush.
- Paint sides Deep Burgundy with 3/4 flat brush. Let dry.
- Use painter's tape to mask off 1/4" of top half of outer sides. Paint bottom part Lamp Black with 3/4 flat brush.
- Using painter's tape to mask off square in center to create pin stripe. (Refer to photo for placement.) Paint inside tapelines with Emperor's Gold with 3/4 flat brush
- Paint top edge of tray Emperor's Gold with 3/4 flat brush.
- Transfer maple leaf pattern to center of tray. Use 3/4 flat brush and Emperor's Gold to paint leaf. Use #2 round for stem.
- Use black marker to create leaf veins.
