Give a Plain Wood Tray the Royal Treatment with Dazzling Metallics.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • transfer paper
    • painter's tape
    • #2 round brush
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • fine point Sharpie® marker or pen
    • wooden tray

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Basecoat tray bottom Lamp Black with 3/4 flat brush.
    2. Paint sides Deep Burgundy with 3/4 flat brush. Let dry.
    3. Use painter's tape to mask off 1/4" of top half of outer sides. Paint bottom part Lamp Black with 3/4 flat brush.
    4. Using painter's tape to mask off square in center to create pin stripe. (Refer to photo for placement.) Paint inside tapelines with Emperor's Gold with 3/4 flat brush
    5. Paint top edge of tray Emperor's Gold with 3/4 flat brush.
    6. Transfer maple leaf pattern to center of tray. Use 3/4 flat brush and Emperor's Gold to paint leaf. Use #2 round for stem.
    7. Use black marker to create leaf veins.
