Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Using a 1" flat brush and White Gesso, paint both journal pages and allow to dry. Free-hand swirls for the hair. Sketch a face of choice on tissue paper or newsprint. (If desired, choose a public domain image to use.) Cut out.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Mix White Tinting Base and Cobalt Teal Hue. Use the mix to paint the background behind the hair.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Use Matte Medium to adhere the face image onto the journal page.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Mix White Tinting Base with Burnt Umber and Cadmium Orange Hue until a desired skin tone is achieved. Paint the face using the mix with a 1/2" flat brush and #3 round brush in smaller areas. Water down a small amount of Quinacridone Magenta to paint cheeks. Use straight Quinacridone Magenta to paint in the lips.

    9. Place Primary Cyan, Purple, and Turquoise (Shimmer) Media Misters on the palette or plastic plate.
    10. Instruction #5
