  • scissors
  • ruler
  • pencil
  • hanging wire
  • staple gun
  • Gorilla® Glue
  • round wooden charger (Hobby Lobby: center diameter should be 8")
  • mini pompons (in coordinating colors)
  • black felt
  • all-purpose glue
  • 8" round beveled mirror (Hobby Lobby)

NOTES: Sand the wooden plate before starting and wipe off excess dust. Let the glue dry completely before moving onto the next steps.

  1. Sand the wooden charger and wipe off any excess dust. Use a pencil and a ruler to draw lines on the charger's rim, spacing them all out about 1/2" from each other.
    Step 0 Example
  2. Paint each section in alternating colors: I painted all the Cocoa Bean first, then Paprika, and then finished with Canary. (Make sure each section is dry fully before starting with the next color) Let dry completely and paint the back of the charger Cocoa Bean. Let dry. Use a staple gun to affix a wire on the back for hanging.
    Step 1 Example
  3. Spread a layer of Gorilla Glue on the center of the wooden charger. Carefully place the mirror and press it into place. Let dry completely.
    Step 2 Example
  4. Once the mirror is completely dry, glue small pompons in corresponding colors around the edge of the mirror.
    Step 3 Example
  5. Use the provided pattern to trace two ears onto a piece of paper and then trace onto black felt. Cut out the ears and glue onto the mirror.
