Let's Go Camping! Winter Mod Scene

A camper in winter, painted with Americana® Acrylics, makes for a festive holiday accent.

SUPPLIES

    • wooden box
    • hot glue gun and glue sticks
    • papier-mâché cones
    • floral foam
    • bottle brush tree
    • 3D metal ornaments

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Use light layers of paint to achieve clean edges on the design.

    Let dry completely between painting steps, unless otherwise directed.

    1. Paint the entire wooden box with Snow White.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Place the Mod stencil on the front of the box. Use a stencil brush or foam pouncer to add Citron Green, Baby Blue, and Baby Pink over the stencil. (See photo for placement.) Repeat until the front of the box is covered with the pattern.

    5. Paint three cones. While the paint is still wet, sprinkle Glamour Dust Crystal over the cone trees to add some subtle sparkle.

    7. Open the box and cut a piece of floral foam to fit the base. Hot glue it inside the box. Cover the floral foam with Snow-Tex.

    9. Add the ornaments and trees on top of the Snow-Tex base. Add Snow-Tex to the bases of the cone trees before adding them to the scene.

    11. Paint the red part of the camper in Baby Pink.
