Create a modern but rustic wall art to represent where you are from with Color Stain!

SUPPLIES

    • sandpaper
    • pencil
    • white cloth
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • hot glue gun and glue sticks
    • floral scrapbook paper
    • scissors or box cutter
    • popsicle sticks
    • grey transfer paper
    • 12x12 wooden frame

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. You will need a frame from http://www.cratesandpallet.com/craft#/wood-frame/ ,scrapbook paper of choice, popsicle sticks, glue gun and sticks, brush, and your favorite color stains colors: Chambray and Charcoal.

    3. Guess on how many sticks you will need. Its better to have too many than not enough. You will need extras to break into small detail pieces. Use a flat brush to paint with Chambray and immediately wipe back stain with a clean white cloth. Rinse brush and let sit.

    5. Use a flat brush to paint the frame in Charcoal and immediately wipe back. Rinse brush and let frame dry.

    7. Make sure your scrapbook paper is 12x12 to fit the frame.

    9. Transfer with a pencil your favorite state onto the scrapbook paper. Then use scissors or box cutter to break the stained popsicle sticks to fit in the state shape. (Do not glue anything until you are forsure all pieces fit). Then use a glue gun to adhere the sticks to the paper.

    11. Place the scrapbook paper art and backing into the frame and now you have beautiful rustic but modern State Art!
