Jack O' Lantern Canning Jar

A battery-operated tealight turns a painted jar into a unique jack-o'-lantern.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- rubbing alcohol
- scissors
- 3/4" flat brush
- cosmetic sponge
- craft knife
- smooth quart-sized Ball® jar
- Contac® paper or wide painter's tape
- battery-operated tealight
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Clean the jar with rubbing alcohol and allow to dry completely before painting.
- Cut the eye, nose, and mouth shapes of your choice from Contac paper or wide painter's tape. Position and press them onto the jar.
- Use a cosmetic sponge to dab Bright Orange over the entire jar. Repeat for complete coverage.
- Use a craft knife to run around the edges of the plastic shapes. Carefully lift and remove the shapes.
- Use a 3/4" flat brush and Festive Green to paint the jar lid.
- Insert the battery-operated tealight.
