Gather all of your supplies, such as a tray, paints, and brushes.
In sections, brush Brown onto the tray. With a damp cloth, wipe the paint back. If needed, repeat until you get the look you like.
Transfer the provided pattern onto the bottom of the tray. Using a round brush, paint in the design with Pewter. Paint the top edge of the tray in the same color.
Cut two pieces of leather (faux or real) that are an appropriate size for your tray. Using brads, nail leather handles onto the sides of the tray.
