Other supplies

  • transfer paper
  • pencil
  • large flat brush
  • chipboard shape (circle)
  • liner brush
  • medium flat brush

NOTE: Let dry completely between painting steps.

  1. Apply White Gesso to the chipboard surface and allow to dry. Use a flat brush and Soft Jade to paint a spiral going from the outside of the circle into the center. Use Deep Turquoise to make small lines along that spiral. Start a second spiral with Deep Turquoise from the center to the outside of the circle, leaving some of the area still unpainted. Use Titanium White on the unpainted area.
  2. Add dots of Soft Jade on the Deep Turquoise spiral. Paint in every other square with Deep Turquoise. Add a whitewash highlight in the center of the circle. (Make a whitewash by blending equal amounts of Titanium White and water.)
  3. Transfer the provided quote onto the canvas with transfer paper. Use a small brush dipped in Carbon Black to paint the quote; write the word "impossible" in the white areas several times; and draw small open circles.
