Keep track of all the good things in life this Thanksgiving on a inspired chalkboard wall accent.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • paper towels
    • stylus or pencil
    • tracing paper
    • transfer paper
    • scissors
    • #2 round brush
    • burlap ribbon
    • hot glue gun and glue sticks
    • #12 flat brush
    • wooden chalkboard plaque

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Use a #12 flat brush to basecoat the entire frame using Mushroom. Rinse brush. Let dry completely.
    2. Use a pencil or stylus and the tracing and transfer papers to transfer the entire pattern onto the frame and over the chalkboard.
    3. Use a #2 round brush and Paprika to paint on the chevron design. Rinse brush. Use the same brush and load separately with Splendid Gold and Worn Penny to add highlights. Rinse brush between colors and at the end.

    5. Use a #2 round brush and Worn Penny to paint on the words and every other leaf. Rinse brush. Use the same brush with Splendid Gold to paint the remaining leaves.

    7. Use a #2 round brush and Worn Penny to paint on the lines for writing. Rinse brush.

    9. Use scissors to cut the burlap ribbon (or other ribbon of your choice) and tie it into a bow.

    11. Use the glue gun to attach the ribbon to the back of the plaque. Let dry and hang up.
