SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • scissors
    • painter's tape
    • wax paper or freezer paper
    • #12 flat brush
    • cosmetic sponge
    • pen or pencil
    • rocklon or canvas material

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Place Rocklon or canvas material on flat surface. Trace the desired shape of banner and cut out with scissors. Place freezer paper or wax paper underneath to prevent paint from coming through.

    3. Place the Brick Wall Stencil down and use painter's tape to secure in place. Mark off sections you do not want the stencil to show.

    5. Use a cosmetic sponge to lightly dab on Pyrol Red over the whole brick section.

    7. Then spritz the White (Shimmer), Primary Yellow, and Carbon Black Spray Misters to add texture to the bricks.

    9. Tear pieces of scrapbook paper of choice to resemble cracked openings in bricks. Load #12 Flat brush with Fabric Decoupage to adhere the papers and seal. Rinse brush.

    11. Use a #1 Round Brush and Carbon black with a small amount of water to outline the paper and extend cracks. Rinse brush.
    12. Add Andy Skinner's Burning Rubber Stencil to make it a little more grungy. Use a cosmetic sponge with Titanium White to very lightly dab on so it looks faded.

    14. Mix (1) part Titanium White with (1) part Primary Cyan. Use #12 Flat brush and mix to fill in sky. Rinse brush. Use same brush and Titanium White to add clouds. Rinse brush. Let completely dry.

    16. Print off a Public Domain image of Humpty Dumpty as desired. Use scissors to cut out image.

    18. Print the nursery rhyme or part of it in different fonts of your choice then cut those out also.

    20. Use a #12 Flat brush and Fabric Decoupage to adhere nursery rhyme or words of your choice. Apply a top coat to seal all papers. Rinse brush.

    22. Once completely dry, display in nursery or kids room!
