SUPPLIES

    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • rubbing alcohol
    • glass cheese dome

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Clean glass before painting. Wash in warm soapy water, rinse, and dry well. Optional: Clean glass with rubbing alcohol.
    2. Allow to dry between painting steps.
    3. TECHNIQUE: Same technique is used on each flower and leaf. Work one petal or one leaf at a time for best results.
    4. Following color suggestions below, paint flowers and leaves with Americana Gloss Enamels. Let dry.
    5. PETALS: Following color suggestions in step 8, use contrasting colors of 3D Opaque Writers to place bead of paint at petal base. Immediately use brush to drag/pull 3D paint onto petal toward outside edge.
    6. LEAVES: Following color suggestion step 9, repeat Step 2, moving from center of petal or leaf toward outside. Placement of True Blue and Primary Yellow 3D will indicate shading and highlighting. Refer to photo for color placement.
    7. Remember to drag in direction that flower petals and leaves actually grow. For instance, angle leaf strokes from leaf edge to leaf center on each side. Once all petals and leaves have been painted and let dry, use 3D Black Opaque Writer to outline and add embellishments.
    8. Color suggestions (flower basecoat color/3D center): Bright Yellow/Red & Orange; Royal Fuchsia/Red; Bright Orange/Red; True Red/Lavender; Calypso Blue/True Blue & Lavender.
    9. Color suggestion (leaf basecoat color/3D outside edge/3D center): Festive Green/Bright Yellow on one side/True Blue on opposite side
