Headboard Turned Stocking Hanger

Get into the holiday swing with a headboard turned stocking hanger using Americana Decor® Chalky Finish.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- sandpaper
- soft cloth
- wooden headboard
- 1" flat brush
- 1/4" angle brush
- wood filler
- drill and small drill bit
- drawer knobs
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Clean and wipe down all dust from the headboard. If needed, fill in any holes with wood filler and sand smooth.
- Paint the entire headboard with Rouge. Let each application dry before applying another layer of paint.
- Accent parts of the headboard with a lighter color. We painted the desired area with a single application of Cotton Ball.
- Paint over the Cotton Ball paint with multiple applications of White Pearl to achieve the desired finish.
- Finish the entire headboard with Americana Soft-Touch Varnish. Use the Waxing & Finishing Brush to apply the varnish, then polish it with a soft cloth.
- Drill holes where the knobs will go, and screw the knobs into place.
