Thoroughly clean the jar with a paper towel dampened with rubbing alcohol.
Cut a 4" x 12" (adjust for different-sized containers) strip of the deer head paper from the Americana Gold Stag Decou-Page Paper. Apply Dishwasher-Safe Decou-Page to the area where the paper will be applied. Position the paper and apply another coat of Decou-Page on top. Smooth any wrinkles with fingers or a brush.
Cut two 1/2" x 12" strips of triangle paper from the same Decou-Page Papers pack. Decoupage the strips on the top and bottom of the Gold Stag paper.
Free-hand lettering onto brown cardstock. (Or use the lettering pattern and transfer with transfer paper and a pencil.) Cut out with scissors. Using a liner brush, paint text in Bittersweet. Add dots around the outside of the oval with the end of the brush, alternating between Yellow Gold (Metallic) and Bittersweet.
HELPFUL HINTS
Before applying Decou-Page Paper, dampen the paper by running it under the faucet or with a damp sponge.
