INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Paint the outside of the wooden part of each pants hanger in Sea Spray, English Ivy, or Purple Hydrangea. Let dry completely.
    Step 0 Example
  2. Once dry, add lace trim to each of the four ends of the hanger, wrapping around and securing with E6000 Glue inside of the clamp. (See photo.) This will keep the hanger from clamping down too hard on the bunches of herbs and flowers.
    Step 1 Example
  3. Print and cut out the provided pattern. Line the pattern up on the front of the hanger and transfer the image with tracing & transfer paper. Use the "Herbs" on the English Ivy hanger and the "Flowers" pattern on the Purple Hydrangea hanger; paint in the patterns with Light Antique White.
    Step 2 Example
  4. Mix Purple Hydrangea with a touch of Light Antique White to make a lighter shade. Paint the buds of the flowers in this color. Use Sea Spray to add touches of color on some of the leaves. Add Light Antique White dots to the flower buds. (Refer to the provided pattern for details.)
    Step 3 Example
  5. On the Herbs hanger, add touches of Sea Spray on various spots of the leaves. (Refer to the provided pattern for details.)
    Step 4 Example
  6. Outline the entire pattern on both hangers with a fine liner pen. Allow to dry completely.
    Step 5 Example
  7. Print and cut out the flower pattern and line it up on the Sea Spray hanger. Transfer the image using tracing & transfer paper. Paint the flowers and buds in Purple Hydrangea and the leaves and stems in English Ivy.
    Step 6 Example
  8. Mix English Ivy and Purple Hydrangea separately with Light Antique White to make pastel shades of each. Paint highlights on the leaves and flowers in their matching shade, leaving areas of the darker color exposed on the edges.
    Step 7 Example
  9. Add further highlights using Light Antique White. Add dots of to the center of each flower.
    Step 8 Example
