Choose a wooden piece of furniture with a flat front.
If possible remove any hardware. Sand the piece to remove any sheen.
Give the piece 2-3 coats of Pure White Satin Enamels paint.
Find an otomi pattern online. Using an online grid maker, print out the image across 9 sheets of 8.5 x 11 paper and tape together to make a 'blown up' version of your otomi pattern.
Tape carbon paper to the back of your otomi print out and center onto your piece of furniture.
With a sharp pencil, trace over the outline of the otomi pattern.
With detail brush, fill in the pattern with Satin Enamels in Metallic Pewter.
Recoat if needed. The piece shown here only has one coat of paint so the brush strokes are more evident. If a darker, more opaque, finish is desired, give the otomi pattern a few different coats.
Repeat on front and either side. There's no need to replace the carbon paper... one piece should work for three sides of the piece of furniture.
Replace hardware and clean up any smudges by painting over with pure white. (The hardware on this piece did not remove.)
