Recycle glass jars into Spooky, Sparkling containers for Halloween treats.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• painter's tape
• liner brush
• #2 soft bristle brush
• paper
• three recycled glass jars with lids
• #5 soft bristle brush
• small plastic cup (about 1" width) with top (or seal with foil or plastic)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Spooky Tree and Spider Webs Using 3-D Black Paint writer, trace trunk of tree, up to top of tree. (If you would like thicker line, lightly glide liner brush through middle.) Trace limbs of tree with writer. (You may want to do tree in sections as paint dries.)
2. When paint has fully dried, paint spider webs with Orange using liner brush. (Webs will need two coats: first coat should be lighter so that it does not run on glass; second coat can be much thicker since it will adhere well to first coat.)
3. Lid is painted with Black Crystal Gloss Glitter with 3/4 flat brush
4. Skull Jar Print off pattern and tape inside glass jar.
5. Outline skull and features with Black and liner brush.
6. Generously dip soft bristle brush into Black. Fill in area you choose around entire skull. (You can choose entire jar or half jar or you can trace circle around skull, etc. This may require another coat of paint.) Let dry between coats.
7. Use same soft bristle brush and liner brush to fill in eyes, nose, and mouth around teeth.
8. Lid is painted with Black Crystal Gloss Glitter with 3/4 flat brush.
9. Black Cat and Bats Print off pattern and tape inside glass jar.
10. Mix 1/3 Purple,1/3 Pink, and 1/3 White. Outline one bat with liner brush and fill in with soft bristle brush.
11. Mix 2/3 Green with 1/3 White. Outline two bats with liner brush and fill in with soft bristle brush.
12. Using liner brush, outline remaining bat with Orange and fill in with soft bristle brush.
13. Outline cat with Black and fill in using soft bristle brush.
14. After all paint has dried, apply another coat of paint if desired.
15. Lid is painted with Black Crystal Gloss Glitter with 3/4 flat brush.
