Going for a Ride! Bicycle Painting

Paint a painterly bicycle with a basket of spring flowers using Americana® Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • 1" painter's tape
    • tracing & transfer paper
    • chalkboard
    • paintbrushes

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Paint the frame and stand of the mini chalkboard in Neutral Grey. Allow to dry and re-apply.

    3. Once the paint is completely dry, tape off the frame and cover the legs with paper or a paper towel. Paint the inside of the chalkboard with Warm White, Neutral Grey, and Periwinkle. Let dry completely.

    5. Trace and transfer the provided pattern to the chalkboard. Paint the bike frame in Thicket; highlight with Banana Cream and Aloe. Paint the metal pieces (handlebars, seat tube, etc.) in Sand Grey and the handlebar grips and seat in Periwinkle. Paint the pedals and tires in Lamp Black; highlight with Sand Grey. Paint the basket and flowers in Blush Pink, Thicket, Aloe, Wild Berry, and Banana Cream. (See photo for color placement.)
